About LAVENDER SENSE of JOY™

Jesper and Pamela Andersen and family of Lavender Sense, Wallacetown, Ontario
The Andersen Family

LAVENDER SENSE of JOY™ or affectionately referred to as LAVENDER SENSE - a family business, is a premier grower and marketer of lavender plants, essential oils and exquisite lavender products with well-defined, crisp and clean scents of the finest lavender. With the launch of LAVENDER SENSE in 2009, owners Pamela & Jesper Andersen planted two varieties, namely Provence and Grosso the two most widely grown varieties in Provence, France. We grow our plants in accordance with organic practices and aim to be recognized with such certification in time.

Within the next few seasons we will be able to offer oils and products made from lavender of our own fields. In the meantime, we will source products from select suppliers who support our philosophy of delivering quality over quantity and provide exquisite lavender products that will satisfy even the most discerning consumers.

We strive to source as much as we possibly can from Canadian suppliers and will only buy from recognized import sources in Europe, Australia and New Zealand which rank amongst the highest quality suppliers.

We offer essential oils, personal care, culinary, household products and gift packs and we plan to expand the assortment as our customers express their needs, wants and desires.

We stand behind every product we sell and as the best assurance of our quality and the confidence we place in our products, we offer ‘100% satisfaction or a full refund’ of the purchase price or an exchange.

Lavender Sense farm in Wallacetown, Ontario

The lavender fields and our beautiful, century old farmstead are nestled near our own Carolinian forest of some 25 acres just a few short minutes from Lake Erie. Forest trails are available to explore for the fit and energetic nature lovers and deer, wild turkeys and many birds of prey are plentiful and can often be seen. Even Bald Headed Eagles nest in our neighborhood.

It is our goal to develop a model of sustainable agriculture, thus enabling us to preserve farmland from further development, protect it from pollution, create employment opportunities for people of our community and provide a destination of natural beauty for all visitors to enjoy for many years to come.

We believe our endeavors, pursued with integrity and passion will make sense and provide satisfaction in both human and economic terms and thus will do justice to our name – LAVENDER SENSE of JOY™.
